Vacant Position for the Role of Accounts cum Payroll Executive

The Palz Group of Companies is hiring an Accounts cum Payroll Executive to manage financial records, payroll processing, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle both accounting and HR-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a full set of accounts and prepare financial analysis reports.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, petty cash, and customer/supplier aging summary.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping entries in the system.
  • Monitor and prepare bank reconciliation statements.
  • Calculate and prepare Profit & Loss reports for each client.
  • Prepare yearly financial budgets and monitor collections and payments.
  • Follow up on overdue customer payments and maintain credit control.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers.
  • Prepare and submit annual tax forms (Form E, Form EA, tax returns).
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general journal transactions.
  • Handle supplier invoices and resolve accounts payable issues.
  • Arrange monthly submissions and payments for EPF, SOCSO, and PCB.
  • Process monthly payroll for staff, including EPF/SOCSO contributions.
  • Maintain and update employee records, attendance, leave applications, and claims.
  • Prepare HR-related forms, memos, and official letters.
  • Compile statistical data and manage office expenditures.
  • Deal with government and statutory bodies such as IRB, TNB, and local councils.
  • Assist in ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Accounting department.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, procedures, and financial software.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Must have own transport and be able to travel for administrative tasks.
  • Immediate availability is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of the Employment Act 1955 is a plus.
